fasting at 4-5 hours daily hiking…kaya ba?

I have been depriving myself of solid food intake since May 8, 2010. No, I am not on hunger strike. I have no reason to go on strike. I am doing my body a big favor. I need to loose weight and I also need to cleanse my internal organs… hence, the Fasting regime.

I plan to do this until Saturday, May 15, 2010. Last time I did this was for almost two weeks. And the very first time I tried this regime was several years ago and I did it for about three weeks. One can actually do it. Really, it only takes the will of mind and discipline.

How does my day go?

Well, I start with the preparation of my breakfast. Breakfast is, a glass of orange juice mixed with olive oil, garlic and some herbs. It depends on which type of herbs I want to put into my drink. It can be basil, dill, anything. I make tea… lots of tea. I have different types of tea to enjoy everyday, so i just do a mix-match of it as well. Important is that I should not forget to take Liver tea. Essential to assist my liver in this very strenuous time.

After I have prepared everything on the table, I do my 30 minutes exercise. This is also essential to keep my body fit, and my muscles awake. Only after the exercise can I take my breakfast.

After breakfast, I prepare my thermos of Tea and bottle of water to take with me in my long walks. The walk is also very important to maintain muscular activity. The body has to be active. During the walks, I drink water, tea and a slice of lemon for lunch. I also have a special mixed drink juice of the red beets and cabbage. It may sound weird to you but it tastes good. Especially if you have no other choice, hehehe.

For dinner, I prepare soup. Any kind of vegetable soup provided that the vegies are grinded. There should be no trace of any solids in the soup. The soup alone has another special way of preparation. Nakakapagod din ang buong maghapon. Kaya after a long soak in the bath pagkatapos mag hapunan, ready na ako matulog with my warm bottle.

Ilang araw na rin ang nakalipas. At ilang araw na lang pwede na ulit kumain. Pero hindi pwedeng biglain ang tiyan. Magsisimula muna ako sa prutas, clementina or mandarin or poncan. After wards, pwede na ako sa thin sliced wheat bread. Dahan dahan hanggang sa pwede na ulit kumain ng kanin, karne at isda. Nakaka miss din ang pagkain. pero, kailangan ko itong gawin. Para sa kalusugan at vanity, hehehe.
